Undergraduate Coursework students - Expecting to graduate September 2008.

Attention all Undergraduate Students who are expecting to graduate in the graduation ceremonies to be held in September 2008

All students must notify the University in advance that they are expecting to complete the requirements of their program of study and take out their award (degree/diploma/certificate). The process is not automatic. If you do not notify the University in advance, there can be delays in your qualifying and subsequently graduating. Students must qualify for their award (degree/diploma/certificate) prior to being allocated a place in a graduation ceremony and having their award conferred. Please follow the instructions below regarding how to notify the university.

You will need to have the status of qualified by 8 August 2008 in order to be eligible to participate in September 2008 graduation.
Step 1: Check what is already on your record
Log into estudent
Go to:

Please do not look under Check for Graduation. There will be no graduation information until AFTER results are released on 15 July 2008.

Under "My Results" Select your current program to see if 2008, First Half Year is recorded if you are expecting to graduate in September.

Step 2: If there is no information, or if the information is incorrect, then download the form at http://www.reg.mq.edu.au/Forms/APSQual.pdf enter the correct details and submit to the Student Enquiries Service. Please read the form carefully for further instructions.

Step 3: Allow 3 working days for the form to be processed and then check eStudent. Once the information is loaded on eStudent, there is nothing more for you to do except study hard for your exams and wait until graduation information is released along with results for the study period. If there is no information after results are released, follow the instructions on the eStudent Noticeboard. You will need to have the status of qualified by 8 August 2008 in order to be eligible to participate in September 2008 graduation.

You can use the form in Step 2 to notify the university in advance for any study period (i.e., you can notify the University now that you expect to complete your program of study in July 2009). You need not wait for your final semester of study. If you submit the form now and then change your plans at a later date, you simply resubmit the form with updated details.

Please visit the Graduation Unit website for additional information regarding graduation.

Students with disabilities and Web enrolment

For many, enrolling via the web should make the enrolment process more convenient. However, students unable to access a computer without the aid of assistive technology, because of a disability, may experience some difficulties.

Macquarie University is mindful of issues that may be experienced by students with vision impairment, given their reliance on screen-reading software. In those cases, if web enrolment is difficult to access, contact staff in the Equity Support Unit at equity@mq.edu.au to arrange assistance in negotiating the enrolment process.

All students with disabilities/health conditions are encouraged to register with the Equity Support Unit on campus. To do so, Advice of Disability/ Health condition forms are available via http://www.registrar.mq.edu.au/academic-index.htm .

Please check official email account frequently
