Accepting an offer
International students Please follow the instructions from
Macquarie International.
Domestic students Please follow the instructions below.
When do I accept my offer?
We recommend that you accept your offer within 7 days of receiving your offer. You must accept your offer before your enrolment date.
Can I defer my offer?
Some undergraduate students may apply to defer an offer to 2010. Postgraduate students cannot defer an offer.
How do I accept my offer?
Accept your offer online in eStudent, Macquarie University’s online enrolment system. Follow the instructions below:
Get your Macquarie Student ID
- UAC offers: access your Macquarie Student ID online.
- University direct offers: your 8 digit Macquarie Student ID is located on the top of your offer letter.
Login to eStudent
- Go to eStudent.
- Enter your Macquarie Student ID.
- Select "Click here for Login assistance" to access password instructions (or enter a password if you already have one).
- Go to Student IT Help if you have login problems: ithelp@mq.edu.au or http://www.sith.mq.edu.au/
Accept Your Offer and Complete Online Pre-enrolment
In eStudent, complete Items A - F in the My Offer menu which appears on the left side of the screen.
A - ACCEPT My Offer
- Accept the offer to your course.
B - Submit Commonwealth Assistance Form (eCAF)
- If you have a Commonwealth supported place you must complete a HECS-HELP eCAF before you will be able to enrol.
- If you have a domestic tuition fee-paying place (DFP) you may apply for FEE-HELP assistance, subject to eligibility (you must be an Australian citizen or hold a humanitarian visa).
To apply for FEE-HELP we recommend you complete a FEE-HELP eCAF before you enrol , however you can submit the eCAF up until the census date (31March First half-year, 31 August Second half-year).

C, D and E - Confirm and Update your Details
- Check your citizenship and residency, and cultural details. You cannot update these details in eStudent as you must provide certified documentation to confirm your changes.
For further instructions select Need Help?/Contact eStudent Support from the eStudent menu.
- Update your disability and health details, which you can change without providing further documentation.
F - Academic Orientation
