Login to eStudent

On the eStudent web-site enter your Macquarie Student ID.
To find your password select “Click here for Login assistance”. After you login you will be required to change your password. If you have accessed eStudent previously, enter your Student ID and current password.
If you experience login difficulties, email IT Help at ithelp@mq.edu.au or go to their web-site.

Accept My Offer and Complete Online Pre-enrolment

International students cannot accept an offer in eStudent. Please follow the instructions from Macquarie International
For local students: after logging into eStudent
you must check and complete Items A - F in the My Offer menu which
appears on the left side of the screen.
A - ACCEPT My Offer
Accept the offer to your course.
B - Submit Commonwealth Assistance Form (eCAF)
Check your offer to find out if you have been offered a Commonwealth supported place or Domestic tuition fee place. All students who are offered a Commonwealth supported place must complete an eCAF(HECS-HELP) before enrolment. Domestic tuition fee-paying students who are eligible for, and wish to take up FEE-HELP assistance need to complete an eCAF (FEE-HELP) before the census date. C, D and E - Confirm and Update your Details
Check your citizenship and residency, and cultural details.
You cannot update these details in eStudent as you must provide certified documentation to confirm changes to this information.
For further instructions select Need Help? menu and 'Contact
eStudent Support'.
Update your disability and health details, which you
can change without providing further documentation.
F - Academic Orientation
It is recommended that you register for the Postgraduate Skills Workshop.

Academic Advising is provided by departments to assist you in planning your enrolment. For some programs, academic advice is compulsory. Academic Advising information is available here.

Consult
the Handbook of Postgraduate Studies and the University Timetable

Handbook: You will find information such as program structures and requirements, unit offerings and prerequisites in the Handbook.
The Handbook can be accessed online, and in eStudent by selecting My Enrolment / Check Course Details. Click the 'Link to additional information'.
The Handbook is also available and for purchase from the Cashiers Office (located on-campus in the Lincoln Building, Level 1). Further information can be found here.
Timetable: The class timetable is located at the University timetable website. Refer to ‘Need Further Timetable Information’ (at the bottom of the timetables page) for postgraduate units that do not have classes centrally timetabled.

Enrol in your Units

External (Distance) students enrol in units from 25 June - 11 July via eStudent. Late enrolment is from 17 July -1 August. Please note if you enrol or change your units during late enrolment you may not receive coursework information before second half-year commences. eStudent enrolment instructions are available here.
All other postgraduate students enrol in units from 28 July – 1 August via eStudent. If you are enrolling in a course with compulsory on-campus academic advising (refer to Step 4) you will not be able to enrol via eStudent until after you have attended academic advsing. eStudent enrolment instructions are available here.

Register in your Classes

External (Distance) units do not have classes.
Once you have enrolled in an internal unit, you can register in classes via eStudent. A class can be a lecture, tutorial, practical or seminar. You can register in classes for internal units from 28 July – 1 August via eStudent.

Pay your Fees

Check / pay your fees using your online 'Statement of Outstanding Charges' in eStudent.
Tax Invoices will not be mailed to students.
Login to eStudent.
Select Check My Finances / Outstanding Debt / View my current debts / View my Statement of Outstanding Charges (outstanding amounts will display in red).
A late payment fee of $200 will apply for late payment of fees.
Payment methods are listed on your Statement of Outstanding Charges and include
internet using your credit card, BPAY, telephone, mail and in person at Revenue Services,
Macquarie University.

Expected Completion notification

You are required to notify the University of when you expect to complete your program. For example, if you expect to be enrolled in your program for two years then you will complete at the end of First Half-year 2010.
Campus Card
-
Distance Students
Complete and return the Campus Card Application form.

Internal Students
You can collect your 2008 Campus Card from Student Central in Building C5C Room 244 after you have enrolled. Bring photo ID.
Service hours will be available here from 1 June.
Login to myMQ, the Student Portal

myMQ is the Student Portal. It provides the gateway to information for current students. To login you will need to 'Get your MQID'.
myMQ has been designed to bring all student resources to one location. The Portal contains links to:

- eStudent

- and many other student and university resources

Resolution of Enrolment Issues
At Macquarie we are committed to providing an efficient enrolment service for students.
However on occasions students may experience difficulties with web enrolment or on-campus enrolment
services. If you have an enrolment issue that needs to be resolved please follow this procedure:
Step 1: eStudent Support is the initial point of contact for all enrolment queries. Contact eStudent Support by selecting the Need Help? menu in eStudent. Provide details of the issue you need resolved.
Step 2: If eStudent Support has been unable to address your difficulty, please refer your issue to the Enrolment Manager at enrolmentmanager@mq.edu.au for immediate resolution.
Step 3: If you have been unable to resolve your enrolment issue through contact with eStudent Support and the Enrolment Manager you are advised to contact the Academic Registrar at cohawkins@reg.mq.edu.au.
