Unit Enrolment and Class Registration: 7 February – 22 February
Re-enrol via eStudent. Remember to enrol for both semesters.
Academic Advice: Refer to the Handbook of Postgraduate Studies for course requirements and the Schedule of Units. If you would like Academic Advice, contact the relevant department now!
Enrolling in Units: Login to eStudent at https://student1.mq.edu.au and select the My Enrolment menu.
Prerequisites: A number of postgraduate units have prerequisites. Check the Schedule of Units in the Postgraduate Handbook to make sure you meet the unit requirements before attempting to enrol. If you don’t meet the prerequisites but believe you should be allowed to enrol in the unit, then you will need to complete and submit a Special Approval (Waiver) form.
Special Approval (Waiver): Refer to the Waiver FAQs.
Registering in Classes: Distance (external) units do not have classes.
To register in classes for internal units select Select Choose My Classes / Register in Classes. A class can be a lecture, tutorial, practical or seminar. Not all internal postgraduate units have classes centrally timetabled, so even though you can enrol in the unit in eStudent the associated class may not be available for registering in eStudent. Refer to the University timetable website at http://www.timetables.mq.edu.au. If you have any further queries about classes refer to the relevant academic department’s website or contact your course convenor.
Where there is no choice of class times: If you have enrolled in a unit where there is no choice of class time (e.g. ACCG805 has only one lecture = no choice of time) you will be automatically registered in the class at the end of the enrolment period.
Where there is a choice of class times: You will need to register yourself in your preferred class time. If your first class choice is not available, choose an alternative.
What do I need to do after enrolment?
Check your enrolment: You can check your enrolment by selecting My Enrolment / Check Unit Enrolment and Print Timetable. Click I Want To... View my enrolment advice to print your current unit enrolment and timetable. This is your Enrolment and Registration Advice (ERA).
