Application for Special Consideration
The Application for Special Consideration is the new form to unite the Advice of Absence and Special Consideration procedures. Application for Special Consideration is for students seeking special consideration for an unavoidable disruption which has affected your study:
- For three or more consecutive days, or
- Prevented you from completing a formal examination
For all other situations you need to contact your unit convenor and arrange alternative options with them.

Professional Authority Form
The Proffesional Authority Form is the attaching evidence required for the Application for Special Consideration. It needs to be signed by a professional authority (eg. Doctor) if your absence is health related.
If your absence is not health related do not complete this form. Instead seek evidence from a sufficiently senior official who can validate your absence. If copies are to be submitted it is highly recommended that they are certified copies.
